A used bike, checked over video by an expert.
Road, mountain or electric: a bike expert examines the frame, drivetrain, brakes and wheels with you, and records the bike’s real condition in a sealed report.
(a) — What the expert checks
The checklist points.
Each point is recorded as compliant, with reservation or not checked. A point that cannot be observed is never presumed compliant. The Basic format covers the essential points; Expert and Premium, the full checklist.

(b) — What we often find
The defects that matter to a buyer.
- Stretched chain and worn sprocket or chainring teeth.
- Impact, chip or crack on the frame or fork.
- Worn pads, warped rotor.
- Play in the headset or hubs, buckled wheel.
- Tired e-bike battery: cycle count, remaining capacity.
(c) — Preparing the session
What to have at hand.
- The bike clean, on a work stand or held by a second person.
- The frame number accessible (usually under the bottom bracket).
- For an e-bike: charged battery, display on and, if possible, the diagnostic.
- A chain checker if you have one, and service invoices.
(d) — What the report does not say
Written limits, not promises.
- Road behaviour is not tested during the session.
- An internal crack in a carbon frame may not be visible from outside.
- Battery capacity is only recorded if a diagnostic can be read.

Bikes
Can the expert spot a crack on a carbon frame?+
They examine each sensitive area in raking light and record any visible chip or crack, with its location. An internal crack invisible from outside cannot be ruled out.
Does the report suit an e-bike?+
Yes: motor, display, shown mileage and battery (housing, contacts, diagnostic) are among the points examined.
Do parts need to be removed?+
No. The expert only asks for simple, safe gestures: spin a wheel, pull a brake, push the handlebar.
