A used watch, checked over video by an expert.
Before buying or selling a watch, a watch expert examines it with you, point by point, and records its real condition in a sealed report to attach to the listing.
(a) — What the expert checks
The checklist points.
Each point is recorded as compliant, with reservation or not checked. A point that cannot be observed is never presumed compliant. The Basic format covers the essential points; Expert and Premium, the full checklist.

(b) — What we often find
The defects that matter to a buyer.
- Scratched, chipped or non-original crystal.
- Polished case: softened edges, faded bevels, weakened engravings.
- Redone or moisture-stained dial, misaligned hands.
- Stretched bracelet, tired clasp.
- A watch that runs very fast (magnetised) or stops: service due.
- Stiff crown or pushers, date that no longer changes.
(c) — Preparing the session
What to have at hand.
- An automatic watch worn or wound the day before; a quartz watch with its battery.
- The box, papers, service invoices and removed links.
- Daylight near a window, and a torch for raking light.
- A soft cloth to clean the crystal before the session.
(d) — What the report does not say
Written limits, not promises.
- The caseback is not opened: the movement is only observed through a display back.
- Water resistance cannot be tested over video: it is recorded as “not checked”.
- The report describes markings and numbers; it does not certify authenticity.

Watches
Does the report say whether my watch is genuine?+
No. The expert describes what they observe — markings, numbers, visible consistency of parts — without certifying authenticity. The buyer gets precise, dated and sealed information.
Does the caseback need to be opened?+
No. No risky handling is requested. If the movement is not visible, the point is recorded as “not checked”, with the reason.
How long is the session for a watch?+
25 to 75 minutes depending on the format: Basic for the essential points, Expert and Premium for the category’s full protocol.
