How it works
Three steps: qualifying the file, the video session, the report.
Process described from the seller's point of view, the most common case. A buyer interested in a listing can order the same report. See pricing.

Qualification
You describe your item: make, model, year, serial number. You provide six unedited photos and the link to your listing. This file is used to prepare the session and cross-check information: a serial number that doesn't match the stated year, or photos copied from another listing, are caught before an expert is mobilized.

Guided video session
An expert calls you at the agreed time. They verify your identity, film the item in its environment, then guide you step by step: nameplate, a full walk-around of the item in a single continuous shot, powering it on, and the checks specific to the item's category. You do exactly what's asked. You never show what you'd like to show, the expert directs.

The report
The expert writes up the report: every point of the protocol receives one of three states: pass, flag, or not checked, with its reason. Once sealed, the report can no longer be modified, not even by us. You receive a public link to attach to your listing, viewable without an account by any buyer.

A shortened session gives an incomplete report, so we don't shorten them.
Some points can't be checked remotely. They're listed explicitly, with their reason. A report that claimed to check everything would be worthless.
